SMTP Address Usage

Use this report to list messages sent to SMTP addresses that are not, or no longer, defined as primary in your directory. Please select your Edge server in the Scan on tab before running it.

• Highlights secondary SMTP addresses used by external senders, providing insights into communication patterns and potential security considerations related to external email correspondence within the organization.
• Utilizes tracking logs on Edge role servers in real-time for data extraction, offering a non-intrusive method to gather information on SMTP address usage without direct database access, ensuring up-to-date and accurate reporting.
• Allows the selection and grouping of mailboxes based on attributes, enabling customized analysis and organization of data for targeted insights into SMTP address usage patterns across different mailbox categories or criteria.
• Permits messages to be filtered based on direction (incoming or outgoing), aiding in the segregation and analysis of communication flow based on sender or recipient perspectives for a comprehensive view of SMTP address usage dynamics.
