How do I import message tracking files from Exchange servers located in the DMZ?

Question:

I need to import Exchange message tracking files from an Edge server located in the DMZ.
What port(s) do I need to open to allow Promodag Reports importing those files?

Answer:

Promodag Reports uses the CIFS protocol (Common Internet File System), that is based itself on the SMB network protocol (Server Message Block).
You must open TCP port 445.

Please note that message tracking files generated by Edge servers don not contain any traffic-related event (sent/received). As a result, they are of limited interest.
